An Ode to Fellow Graduates

Four years flew by

In a blink of an eye

With just a few weeks to go,

Looking back with a sigh

We prep bittersweet goodbyes

And soon leave with so much to show. 

Through the challenges we faced

And the dreams that we chased

We’ve stayed strong and persevered,

No time did we waste

Giving everything a taste

Finding passions and conquering fears. 

It’s been a difficult time

With school online

And our “university experience” on hold, 

But we held up fine

And now realign

To in-person as the semester unfolds.

We followed our hearts

As we took on parts

In various clubs or teams,

And with each term’s start

It became an art

How we chose our business streams. 

With friendships that stayed

And memories made 

We won’t soon forget this chapter,

The lights may fade

As our swan song is played

But it’s our chance to see what comes after.

If you don’t understand

What is at hand

For your next journey after grad, 

Don’t feel crammed

Life isn’t perfectly planned

Just be proud of the achievements you’ve had.
